Baby Shield Aust Pty Ltd (“BabyShield”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
We collect only the personal information we need, which may include:
- your name, email address, phone number and, where relevant, postal address and business name;
- the content of messages and enquiries you send us;
- basic technical information when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and cookies (see section 7).
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information about you or your child. Please do not include it in messages.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you use our contact form, email or phone us, or deal with us as a customer, stockist or distributor. Our website also collects some technical information automatically.
3. Why we use it
- to respond to your enquiries and provide product information;
- to manage orders, distribution and business relationships;
- to operate, secure and improve our website;
- to meet our legal obligations, including food safety and product recall obligations.
We will only send you marketing if you have agreed to receive it, and every message will include an easy way to unsubscribe.

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with:
- our related office in China, to answer enquiries from or about China;
- service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and IT providers;
- government authorities or others where required or authorised by law.

Some personal information may be disclosed to, or stored in, China (our China office) and in other countries where our service providers keep data. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only as long as we need it, and then securely destroy or de-identify it.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.
8. Access and correction
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
